Born from the artistic expression of plague-filled social constraints resulting from controlling facades, emerged 5 revolutionary entities with a mission to protect the values of family and community while exposing the con placed upon man from centuries of planned class feudalism through a powerful, progressive, and original style of metal.

 

Background

 

Legendary Florida skinsman, Raheem Foreman(Made of Hate/Left Hand Black), guitarist Harley Johnson(TerrorFist), and former Parabellum road manager, Jay Tribble, reached out to singer/songwriter and Alabama metal scene OG Joe Gaston (Mutant Speed/soulcore/Breccia) about coming out of retirement. What emerged were the roots of DCOM. 

 

After a few lineup changes featuring some guest star appearances from guitarists Doug Lane (October Noir), David Zaharski, and Holly Clark, and bassist James May, power metal visionary James Hestand (Perfect Dark/After the Storm) reached out to take on guitar duties, eventually bringing on his ATS cohort and fingerboard acrobat Justin Matthews (After the Storm/Konfront the Kaos) to form a very progressive song writing powerhouse that went on to include famed local tattoo artist Corey Gilliard (Cogito/Glory of This). Gilliard’s martini-style-meets-earth-rumbling-tone shaped out and gave groove to their new sound. 

 

Current

 

The band released their first album, San Grael, in 2022. Since that time, Dark Con of Man has had the privilege of sharing the stage with the likes of Soulfly, Crowbar, Texas Hippie Coalition, Marc Rizzo, Spirit Adrift, and Half Heard Voices.
